Who Can Apply?
The Hervey and Elizabeth Ekins Educational Charity was set up to:
Promote the education (including social and physical training) in accordance with the doctrines of the Church of England of young persons residing in the area of benefit.
Therefore the following people can apply:
- Young people (under 25) residing in theEcclesiastical parishes of St.Peters, Weston Favell, St. Peter and St. Paul, Abington and Emmanuel, Northampton, the Parish of Great Doddington and the area of the Borough of Northampton for more than three years.
- Young people residing in Ecclesiastical parishes of St.Peters, Weston Favell, St. Peter and St. Paul, Abington and Emmanuel, Northampton, the Parish of Great Doddington and the area of the Borough of Northampton who have attended the school of the charity or any other maintained school situated in, or serving the area of benefit.
- Young people in need of financial assistance - please see the Grants Policy.
- Young people who can provide a statement form from the incumbent of their parish church or from the Church of England Chaplain of their college or university chapel stating that the applicant worships regularly at the relevant church or chapel.
- Young people who can provide an educational reference.
In special circumstances benefits can be given to young persons over the age 25 and under the age of 30.
